Sell on Shopify with Matterhorn – Part 5: Placing Your First Orders

When your customers start placing orders in your Shopify store for products sourced from the Matterhorn warehouse, the order fulfillment process in the dropshipping model will be straightforward and intuitive. Below you will find instructions on how to properly handle orders and ensure smooth delivery execution.

1. Receiving an Order in Shopify

When a customer orders a product that comes from Matterhorn's offering, the option „Request Fulfillment” will appear in the order details in the Shopify panel. Clicking this option will generate an order in the Matterhorn warehouse according to the dropshipping model.

2. Generating an Order in Matterhorn

After clicking „Request Fulfillment”, another window will appear where you can add notes for Matterhorn and select the option "Send a notification to the customer when Matterhorn Fulfillment fulfills the orderSend fulfillment request" so that after the order is sent, the customer receives a tracking link for the package. After this step, the system automatically forwards the order to the Matterhorn warehouse. The order is created in the Matterhorn Dropshipping system, and the delivery address is the end customer's address.

3. Receiving Payment Information

After the order is created, the store owner will receive an email confirmation along with a payment link. The order will also be visible in the Matterhorn Dropshipping app in the „Fulfillment orders” section.

4. Paying for the Order

For Matterhorn to begin processing the order, it should be paid for as soon as possible. Only after the payment is processed will the warehouse start gathering the products and shipping them to the customer. Click the link received in the email or click the "Goto Payment" button for the new order from the app. You can pay for the order with a card, PayPal, or bank transfer.

5. Shipping and Providing the Tracking Number

After the products have been gathered and the shipment is sent, the Matterhorn Dropshipping app will automatically forward the tracking number information to your Shopify store. Shopify will then send the end customer information about the tracking number and a link to monitor the shipment.

3. Wait for the fulfillment and automatic transfer of shipment data to your store.
